I think I have heard that about ants and termites before, though I would not have remembered it if you hadn't mentioned it. Of course, if you get carpenter ants, they can do a number on your house just like the termites.
I recommend, Peter, that you submit your work of art to the National Pest Management Association. (Yes; a quick Google search revealed, not at all to my surprise, that there is such an organization, and in a month they have the 2026 Academy, an annual event meant to engage members in networking and fun. I envision a session at that event where they set your lyrics to music. You may have written the Country Music Song-Of-The-Year!)
